Additional paternity and maternity leave
A family-run company should be family-friendly, which is why we grant new mothers and fathers their two weeks of statutory leave plus an additional week at full salary instead of the legally stipulated 80%.

Practising work-life balance
With a 40-hour week and at least 5 weeks’ annual holiday, our staff have more free time than many others. Up to another week off is available by working the hours in advance. Your holiday entitlement increases if you stay with us for five years or once you reach your 50th birthday. We also offer part-time work, especially for employees with care responsibilities.

Whether athletically, individually or by public transport – it’s up to you how you get here, and we offer modern changing rooms with showers, bike racks in the underground car park, our own petrol station and free parking spaces for cars and motorbikes, as well as excellent train connections with only a 10-minute walk from the station in Uster, and a bus stop just around the corner.

Bachofen pays the full premiums for accident insurance and daily sickness allowance for its employees, instead of burdening them with a large part of it, as is customary elsewhere. Retirement is nothing to worry about, because our in-house pension fund is in exceptional financial health and the company pays higher contributions than prescribed.
