Cleantech solutions based on innovative technologies are shaping the future of plant engineering. Protecting the environment and resources is an imperative necessity for industry and public sector operations. Bachofen supports plant operators and OEMs with comprehensive know-how on sustainability on the path to the energy transition and provides a wide-range product portfolio to effectively implement innovative cleantech solutions.
Hydrogen, as a clean energy carrier, has a great future ahead. Green hydrogen is sustainably produced with renewable energy by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. Thereby, hydrogen technology makes an essential contribution to climate neutrality and the realization of the energy transition.

The high-pressure fittings from Parker Instrumentation withstand extremely high pressures, such as those encountered in hydrogen transport. They securely and reliably connect pipelines and prove themselves in demanding applications thanks to precise manufacturing from high-quality materials, guaranteed leakproof, and corrosion resistance. Areas of application: oil and gas industry, chemical industry, energy generation, hydrogen.
"I have known Bachofen on a personal level for many years. It was quite clear to me that I should continue with this collaboration once I joined GRZ Technologies. Our company is currently experiencing an extremely dynamic development phase. We need partners like Bachofen, on whom we can rely in every respect."

Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage – CCUS for short – refers to three innovative technologies for CO₂ reduction and represents a constructive approach to the CO₂ problem. The processes include capturing CO₂ from industrial emissions or the air, using CO₂ as a raw material in production, and storing CO₂ underground in suitable geological formations. CCUS is indispensable to prevent CO₂ from escaping into the atmosphere and thereby an opportunity for effective climate change mitigation.

The wastewater treatment plant – WTP for short – is a prime example of sustainability. Water is one of humanity’s most valuable natural resources. The treatment of polluted water from households, industry, and commerce is divided into three subprocesses: mechanical removal of solid pollutants, biological degradation of organic substances by microorganisms, and chemical precipitation of harmful substances, such as phosphates.

«The sliding gate valve has allowed us to finally achieve the accuracy of control we have long desired.»
Hanspeter Holzer, Operations Manager
Waste incineration plants reduce waste volumes and unlock the potential of waste as an energy carrier. Based on innovative technologies, WTEs make an important contribution to sustainable waste management on two levels. The heat released during combustion is used for steam generation, turbine operation, electricity production, and district heating. Modern filter systems prevent air pollution from flue gases. Additionally, CCUS can store or further utilize the resulting CO₂.
