As a commercial clerk, specialising in services and administration, you will become an office professional in the area of trade and logistics. During your training at Bachofen, you will work in various departments and get to know all of our administrative processes and business areas, from order processing in the sales office to bookkeeping in accounting, communication work in marketing or import and export in the logistics office. You will also gain an insight into the work at reception and in the switchboard.
When you work at our partner company Lenze Bachofen, you will also become familiar with an additional business division and an additional organisation. In each department, you will be supervised by a different practical trainer from the respective specialist area and will thus not only encounter a wide variety of fields of activity, but also different people and their management styles.
A very special highlight of your apprenticeship at Bachofen is the two-week language study trip to our French-speaking Switzerland branch in Biel at the end of the first year. You will live with a host family, attend a French language school for half of the day and work at our French company location for the other half of the day. Another highlight is the insight into the field service, where you accompany one of our salespeople on customer visits for a day.
We pay for the textbooks that you need in vocational school. We also assume all costs for your mandatory inter-company courses, such as travel expenses, meals, support and, if necessary, accommodation.
With a 40-hour week and 6 weeks’ annual holiday, our apprentices have more free time than many others. Up to another week off is available by working the hours in advance. You also enjoy flexible working hours during your apprenticeship.
Our workplaces are modern and ergonomically equipped with adjustable desks and top-level digital work tools, including laptop and IT support for the vocational school.
Our team at the staff canteen keep us fuelled with healthy meals. Thanks to generous subsidies from the company, our apprentices only pay half of what is already a very attractive price.
