Family buisness RMC Tableaux SA has automation in its DNA

«Anything that moves can be automated»: this is the guiding principle behind the work carried out by RMC Tableaux SA, demonstrating that the range of applications for the automation solutions of this family-owned company knows no bounds.

There is a familial atmosphere at the small but excellent company RMC Tableaux SA, based in Rossens, Fribourg. No fewer than four members of the Jungo family are actively involved in the company. Even the other employees are seen as part of the family, because many of them joined the company as apprentices and simply stayed on after completing their apprenticeship.

Modest beginnings – ambitious goals

Hugo Jungo founded the company exactly 25 years ago in Granges-Paccot – in a modest workshop, with just two employees at his side. The era of fully integrated automation technology was just around the corner. He was determined to take his chances in this market of the future by developing and assembling powerful and reliable control systems. Even then, his principle was to listen carefully to the customer and to respond to specific customer requirements. This paid off: the company soon became successful and moved into its own premises in Rossens in 2009.

Expertise in all areas of system engineering

Today, with a team of 24 employees, the regionally oriented RMC Tableaux SA develops control and automation solutions for a wide range of applications with a focus on water supply, wastewater management and building services engineering. Its clients include municipalities, the canton and the construction industry in the region. Internally, the company has all the necessary skills to implement the full range of system concepts under its own steam. The team consists of specialists in the preparation of electrical diagrams, the construction of control cabinets, the programming of automation systems and the development of control and visualisation systems. RMC Tableaux SA also takes care of the maintenance of existing installations and offers a breakdown service that can be called out to site at short notice.

Tailor-made complete solutions from a single source

The system concepts are developed in close collaboration with the customers. They are individually tailored to the customer’s needs and can be expanded and adapted to new requirements in the course of technical development. «Our strengths are flexibility, accessibility and continuous and comprehensive customer support during and after the execution of a project,» says Hugo Jungo. And of course, RMC Tableaux SA keeps up with all technical developments: «Technical possibilities and customers’ requirements are constantly changing. It’s up to us to react quickly and constantly expand our know-how.»

Associated with Bachofen for well over a decade

The familial corporate culture goes hand in hand with professionalism, which permeates all areas of the company. This is evident in its consistent focus on customers, in project management and targeted employee development and, last but not least, in its purchasing behaviour. The company expects a high level of technical expertise, rapid support, absolute reliability and short delivery times from its suppliers. Of course, the price-performance ratio also needs to be right. For many years, RMC Tableaux SA has been purchasing eWON industrial routers and VPN devices from Bachofen, for the remote control of water and wastewater plants. The system engineers take advantage of the possibility to connect the eWON remote control devices via the eWON VPN server eFive. They are not only satisfied with the products, but above all appreciate the advice and technical support from Bachofen – a good basis for a collaboration that has already lasted for around twelve years.
