Home > Building technology > Coupling at the touch of a button: improved safety with Parker Rectus
Frequent changes of staff and the use of different tools are latent risk factors when it comes to connecting compressed-air lines. Thanks to the push button safety coupler from Parker Rectus, users can stay on the safe side. Incorrect operation is practically eliminated.
The confusing array of connector profiles for compressed-air connections makes it difficult to assess which is the most suitable product. And on top of that, handling differs from manufacturer to manufacturer.
The key criteria for the ideal choice are safety during mounting and removal, speed and reliability. The push button safety coupler from Parker Rectus fits these criteria perfectly. It combines safety and performance with the simplest handling and clear identifiability. Thanks to its ergonomic operating concept, it continues to operate as new, even after 7,000 cycles.
Parker Rectus has launched a new model of vent coupling with a push button, which allows for unpressurised coupling, and therefore complete safety, in just two steps. The first time the button is pressed, the flow of air is interrupted and the circuit vented. The second push of the button uncouples the connector and physically separates the connection. The motion sequence is intuitive and can be performed one-handed.
The new safety coupling is suitable for use with pressures of up to 12 bar and at temperatures of between -20°C and +100°C. The use of anodised aluminium in combination with nickel-plated brass guarantees durability and longevity.
The new range of safety couplings from Parker Rectus includes three different profiles:
With these values, the range covers flow rates of between 810 and 2,100 litres per minute. There are therefore no limits to its range of applications.
